In this intro to tapestry workshop we will learn how to translate a drawing into fabric. We will go through all the phases of building a tapestry, from winding the warp on a traditional frame loom, to its execution and finishing.

There will be 4 hours of immersion in the textile arts where participants will be able to learn all the basics of creative tapestry, using different types of fibres and yarns. No previous experience is necessary.

All materials are included, as well as some tools, such as looms, needles and scissors that participants will use during the workshop to produce a small tapestry. This workshop also includes a digital guide that explains all the basic tapestry weaving techniques.

Neste workshop de iniciação à tapeçaria vamos aprender a traduzir um desenho em fios. Iremos percorrer todas as fases de construção de uma tapeçaria, desde a montagem da teia num tear de moldura tradicional, até à sua execução e finalização.

Serão 4 horas de imersão nas artes têxteis onde os participantes conseguirão apreender todas as bases da tapeçaria criativa, utilizando diferentes tipos de fios e fibras. Não é necessária qualquer experiência prévia.

Todos os materiais estão incluídos, assim como algumas ferramentas, como teares, agulhas e tesouras que os participantes irão utilizar durante o workshop para produzir uma pequena tapeçaria. Este workshop incluí ainda um guia digital que explica todas as técnicas fundamentais da tapeçaria.
