How to display a tapestry
There’s many ways you can display a tapestry.
Here’s a few tips:
Tapestries attached to paper can be framed in a simple frame or shadow box to enhance their rich textures. They can then be hung on the wall or leaned on a shelf or table;
Wall hangings that come attached to a pipe/branch can be hung on the wall with two nails using the pipe/branch as support, or by running a thread through the pipe and hanging it with one nail on the wall;
Handwoven cloths that are neither on paper nor attached to a pipe/branch can be professionally framed to your liking to protect the piece from dust. These tapestries can also be simply hung directly on the wall using two small nails;
Tapestries on wood are the easiest to display! They can be hanging on the wall, leaning on a shelf or table, or simply resting on your favourite piece of furniture.
